July the 1st, the Siyuan Cultural Development Association, the alumni association of the School of Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University, held the activity of visiting Shaanxi History Museum and Celebrity Culture Forum, lecture II. The Secretary of the School of Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Ma Xiaobin, Director of the Archives and Museum of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Lv Qing, Deputy Director Li Yiming, Professor Liao Yanwu, Professor Liang Qiaozhuan, Director of Alumni Relations Development Project, Huang Fei, Secretary of teaching program of MBA/EMBA, Zhi Hui and Chen Min and the other alumni attended the activity. This event was led by Ma Xiaobin, Secretary of the School of Management.
1:30 pm, Deputy Director Zhu Ming warmly welcomed the arrival of faculty and alumnus, and had a cordial communicate with Secretary Ma Xiaobin.
Then, the delegation learnd the permanent exhibition - "Ancient Shaanxi Civilization" under the guidance of the interpreters. The visiting includes three exhibition hall and seven different periods of Shaanxi from Prehistoric, Zhou, Qin, Han, Wei and Jin and Sui, Tang to post era of Tang dynasty. With the principle of learning history from objects, and to reflects the ancient civilization of Shaanxi from different aspects, focusing on Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang Dynasties, highlighting the important position of Shaanxi in Chinese history. The whole delegation fully experienced the spiritual connotation carried by more than 3,000 cultural relics during the visiting, and also witnessed the splendid historical civilization and profound historical and cultural heritage of Shaanxi in the time span of more than thousand years.
The forum of celebrity culture was chaired by Chen Qun, Secretary General of Siyuan Cultural Development Association. Secretary of the School of Management Ma Xiaobin made the speech that he was very honored to come to the Shaanxi History Museum, which is known as the "Treasure House of Ancient Capital and Pearl of China". The School of Management of Xi'an Jiaotong University was founded In 1928, with two national first-level core subjects and also entered the national list of "double first-class" construction disciplines, reserved high-quality professors, and graduated a large number of management talents. As same as Shaanxi History Museum, in their respective fields, with the long history and important position, in different forms, they have played a similar role in cultural precipitation and social education. The museum is the concentrated expression of historical relics and cultural civilization, and it is also the precipitation, inheritance and transmission of knowledge, and even an important manifestation of enhancing the confidence and pride of the Chinese nation's culture. The Shaanxi History Museum is the pearl of the ancient capital and a treasure of cultural relics, which deeply moved us and should be taken as an important academic subjects for learning and thinking. The School of Management Alumni Association will also play a role as a link to encourage, support all alumni to better develop, spread, carry forward and practice Chinese history and culture.
Inherit civilization and stay confident. Hou Ningbin, Curator of Shaanxi History Museum, gave a lecture titled "Museum's Mission and Power". Cultural relics carry splendid civilization, inherit history and culture, and maintain national spirit. They are the precious heritage left by our ancestors. As a major collection institution of cultural relics and an important hall for the protection and inheritance of human civilization, it is the mission and responsibility of colleagues of museum, how to better found the intrinsic value of cultural relics to play their role in educating people, and serve contemporary economic and social development. It is the eternal theme of the museum that how to interpret the spirit of the times of cultural relics from the exhibits, and it is also the strength of the museum. In facing of great changes during the century and changes in the main social contradictions, museums must answer the question of how to solve the problems of insufficient and unbalanced exhibitions, how to deal with risks, how to implement scientific and technological innovation, and how to achieve high-quality development. Curator Hou's lecture explained profound things in simple terms and was fascinating. The whole delegation fully experienced the charming historical civilization and culture, and brought them in-depth thinking.
